4 x Frank Gehry Cross Check Chairs by Knoll

The ribbon-like designs transcend the conventions of style by exploring, as the great modernists did, the essential challenge of deriving form from function."

These four examples have been meticulously stripped of the original glue [the glue commonly failed on these], sanded, cleaned with acetone in joined areas and re-glued with Titebond wood glue [bond strength of 3600-4500 psi when properly clamped], a stronger glue than used at time of assembly. Aforementioned work carried out by SW Works in Everett, Ontario.

Stamped with Makers Mark and date of assembly, 3/19/93, on bottom of seat [pictured]. Made in the USA.
