de Sede DS-80 Sofa Foldout Daybed

Incredibly rare de Sede DS-80 foldout day bed with tubular chrome frame. Unlike the more commonly known DS-80s that sat on a wood frame, this example is composed of two large seat cushions sewn together - acting as a hinge - to allow the top cushion to fold out and down in transforming this sofa to a bed. 

Leather patchwork is original with repairs having been carried out to a few problem areas, namely to one patch that has been had stitched closed [pictured]. Otherwise, sofa has been deep cleaned and conditioned.

*Replacing compromised patches can be achieved for a fee. Alternatively, you could put the sewn "hinge" on the back side [flipping the top cushion] so all of the wear [all compromised patches are in the front row] becomes hidden by the back cushions. Also achievable for a fee.
